How Medicaid eligibility works

To qualify for Medicaid, you must live in Kentucky, be a U.S. citizen or qualified immigrant, have or apply for a Social Security number and meet income limits. Some people qualify because of age, pregnancy, disability or need for long-term care. Common groups include:

• pregnant and postpartum women
