Behavioral Health Services employees are ready to help you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You do not need to ask your doctor to get behavioral health services.
You can call Member Services, and they can help you find a doctor, counselor, or other behavioral health (mental health or substance use treatment) provider that best meets your needs.
Service Coordination is a special service for STAR+PLUS members to help you manage your health, long-term service and supports and behavioral health care needs. You can contact your Service Coordinator by phone with questions and concerns at (866) 409-0039.
If you are in an emergency situation, call 911 or go to an emergency room that is close to where you are.
Members can call Molina Healthcare's Nurse Advice Line 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our nurses are ready to answer your medical questions. You can talk to a nurse for health care advice in English or Spanish. Interpreter services are available for other languages. They will help you get the care that you need.

To join Molina Healthcare, you must apply and be eligible for Medicaid or CHIP. You can apply by calling 211 or go to Your Texas Benefits.
Once you have been approved, you will receive an enrollment packet in the mail. You will need to choose a health plan, or one will be chosen for you. You can pick Molina to be your health plan. If you need information about Medicaid or CHIP by call the Enrollment Broker.

If you are not happy with the result of your appeal for a disputed healthcare service, you can ask for a State Fair Hearing. Members may request a State Fair Hearing after the Molina appeal process is completed.

If you ask for a State Fair Hearing, you can also ask for an External Medical Review where independent healthcare experts review your request to continue receiving services. Only the information submitted for your health plan appeal will be used. You won't be able to give new information for the review. This review is an optional, extra step you can take to get your case reviewed for free before your State Fair Hearing. It doesn't change your right to a State Fair Hearing.

You may have to pay for services that are not covered. You may also have to pay for services from providers not part of our network. If the services were an emergency, you don’t have to pay. If you need help, call Member Services.
If you are a Medicaid member, you can contact SafeRide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to schedule non-emergency transportation services for health care appointments.
These trips include rides to the doctor, dentist, hospital, pharmacy and other places you get Medicaid services. These trips do not include ambulance trips.
Make sure to call at least 48 hours before your appointment. Be sure you have the following information ready:
Medicaid ID number for the person with the appointment
Address and phone number of your pickup location
Address and phone number of your appointment location
Name of the medical doctor you or your child will be seeing
Date and time of the appointment
Any unique needs you may have such as using a wheelchair or walker, so we can send the right vehicle
For members in a Nursing Facility, we only cover transportation when traveling to and from a dialysis appointment or when discharging from a Nursing Facility to a lower level of care or home setting.
CVS Caremark provides pharmacy benefit services for our members. This includes prescription services as well as drug management services.

Texas Health Steps is health care for children from birth through age 20 who have Medicaid. Texas Health Steps gives your child medical checkups from birth and dental checkups starting at 6 months of age at no cost. Checkups can help find health problems before they get worse and harder to treat.
