IS IT TIME TO GET HELP FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH CONDITION?

Do you know which signs and symptoms mean you need extra help? Here is a list of common clues:

  • Eating or sleeping too much or not enough
  • Worrying too much or feeling scared all the time
  • Extreme mood changes
  • Having a hard time knowing what’s real and what isn’t
  • Not being able to do daily tasks
  • Not wanting to do the things you liked doing
  • Drinking too much or doing drugs
  • Feeling angry or on edge often
  • Thoughts of hurting yourself or others
  • Physical symptoms that your doctor can’t explain

    • For help from people who can come to you when you’re in trouble

      • Guidance Care Center (Monroe County): (305) 434-7660, option 8
  • Emergency Services
    • Call 911 for immediate serious emergencies like bad injuries, fire, crime, or weather disasters
  • Suicide and Crisis Lifeline

    • Or visit 988.lifeline.org to chat with a trained counselor if you feel sad, scared or you don’t want to live anymore
