How to Enroll

There are two different ways to join a health plan. You have the right to choose your health plan from the health plan choices serving your area. This is called voluntary enrollment. If you do not make a choice, the state will pick a health plan for you. This is called passive enrollment.

Voluntary Enrollment
You will get a letter in the mail from Illinois Client Enrollment Services that will tell you how to pick a health plan. You have the right to pick a health plan that is best for you. This is how you can join Molina Healthcare

  1. By Phone: Call Client Enrollment Services at (877) 912-8880 or TTY: (866) 565-8576. 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tell them you want to join Molina Healthcare.
  2. Online: Visit Illinois Client Enrollment Services at www.EnrollHFS.Illinois.gov and enroll online.

Passive Enrollment
If you do not select a health plan by the due date in the letter, Illinois Client Enrollment Services will select a health plan for you. This is called "passive enrollment". ​​

You may have to pay for services that are not covered. You may also have to pay for services from providers not part of our network. If the services were an emergency, you don’t have to pay. If you need help, call Member Services.
