You must renew your coverage each year. If you don’t renew your coverage, you may lose you benefits or have a gap in coverage. Please be on the lookout for renewal notification letters which you’ll receive 60-90 days prior your renewal date.

Be sure to bring all required renewal forms and other documents when meeting with a representative. Documents you may need include:

  • Social Security numbers, Birthdates
  • Passport, alien registration card, or other immigration numbers for legal immigrants who need health care coverage
  • Household income for the last month
  • Information about any other health coverage available to your family

 

A special message for Medicaid Members

Medicaid renewal varies per enrollment type and location. Please see the one that best applies to you.

New York State of Health Marketplace, the Official Health Plan Marketplace 

If you enrolled through the NY State of Health Marketplace, you will need to renew your coverage via the Marketplace. Log into your Marketplace account at www.nystateofhealth.ny.gov, or call the NY State of Health Marketplace at (855) 355-5777.

Human Resources Administration (HRA) and Local Department of Social Service (LDSS)

You’ll receive a paper renewal package in the mail to fill out and return. 

If you live in NYC you can print your renewal package online or call (888) 692-6116 Medical Help Line for assistance.

 

A special message for Child Health Plus and Essential Plan Members

If you received a renewal letter from the NY State of Health, call our Customer Service department at (866) 243-3174 for help renewing your coverage or log into your Marketplace account at www.nystateofhealth.ny.gov, or call the NY State of Health Marketplace at (855) 355-5777.
