Molina Clinical Policies (MCP) are used by providers as well as Molina’s Medical Directors and internal reviewers to make medical necessity determinations. Updates are made following approval by the Molina Clinical Policy Committee (MCPC).
The MCPC periodically reviews and updates policies to stay in compliance with current medical practice and to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Policy updates require a 60-day notification period until they are effective.
