When can you enroll?
You can enroll, renew, or change your plan during the Open Enrollment Period, from November 1 through January 31 each year.
You may be able to enroll at other times if you have a qualifying life event. This is called a Special Enrollment Period.
Qualifying life events include:
- Getting married or entering a domestic partnership
- Having, adopting, or fostering a child
- Moving to a new area
- Losing health coverage
- Exhausting COBRA coverage
- Turning 26
- Leaving a college health plan
- Returning from active-duty military service
- Release from jail or prison
- Becoming a U.S. citizen, national, or legally present individual
- Changes in tax credit eligibility

How to renew or update:
- During Open Enrollment, review your plan and make changes if needed.
- If you have a life change, go to Kynect to see if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
If you think there was a mistake with your enrollment or application, you may be able to appeal.
