Molina Healthcare of Utah Donates $15,500 to Area Nonprofits in Response to Coronavirus Pandemic

Midvale, Utah, April 24, 2020 – Molina Healthcare of Utah announced its plan to donate $15,500 to relief efforts in the wake of COVID-19. Molina will provide funds to food banks and other community-based organizations across the state that are working tirelessly to provide for the communities most in need.

“With this donation Molina will help get more food and supplies to people in need. We know that in the toughest of times, a warm meal and the certainty that families and children will have enough to eat is of the utmost importance,” said Brandon Hendrickson, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Utah. “These direct donations will go towards helping the communities where we live and work get back on their feet.”

Molina Healthcare is providing donations to the following organizations in Utah:

  • Community Action Services and Food Bank, Provo County
  • Neighborhood House Food Pantry
  • Care and Share Food Pantry, Iron County
  • Salt Lake School District Food Pantries
  • Christian Center, Summit and Wasatch Counties
  • Monument Valley Food Pantry
  • Switch Point, Washington County Food Pantry
  • Box Elder Community Food Pantry

The leadership team is working closely with its executive task force, along with following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and departments of health, to constantly evaluate and communicate information to its members, network providers, employees, government and community partners. For members seeking information about COVID-19 risk factors, Molina launched its Coronavirus Chatbot, an enhanced digital tool available on the Molina website, member portal, and mobile app.
