BOTHELL, Wash. Nov. 10, 2021 – The Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Washington (“Molina”), has donated $25,000 to Peninsula Community Health Services. The grant will support the Keeping Kids in School Safely (K.K.I.S.S.) program by funding a series of school vaccination events.

“We are hoping to normalize the delivery of healthcare related services in school settings so kids can thrive during this complex time,” said Jennifer-Kreidler-Moss, chief executive officer of Peninsula Community Health Services. “By providing services such as these here at school, we help to eliminate access to care barriers – making it easier for working parents and those who are struggling in today’s economy. We are grateful for Molina’s generous donation, which helps make it all possible.”

The grant will fund 12 in-school events, each of which will feature COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, as well as flu vaccinations.

“Keeping kids in our community safe is a top priority for Molina,” said Dr. Jay Fathi, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Washington. “We’re proud to support school-based health centers and vaccination events like these that can keep kids engaged in academic and extracurricular activities, while keeping them safe at the same time.”
