TRUE METRIX Blood Glucose Meters Class 1 Recall
In April 2026, the FDA issued a Class I recall (most serious) for all TRUE METRIX blood glucose meters due to a software flaw displaying an "E-5" error, which may indicate extremely high glucose (>600 mg/dL) or a test strip error, leading to dangerous treatment delays or incorrect insulin dosing. Please reference our formulary document(s) for alternatives covered with no prior authorization needed.
New Inpatient Authorization Requirements for Labor & Delivery
Molina Healthcare of Utah is issuing this bulletin to clarify inpatient authorization requirements for labor and delivery admissions, based on length of stay thresholds for vaginal and cesarean deliveries. This guidance is intended to reduce administrative burden on routine deliveries while ensuing appropriate utilization management for extended hospital stays. Read more.

Ouma Health – A telehealth partner for Maternity Providers and Molina Medicaid Members
Molina has partnered with Ouma to help improve maternity care for our Medicaid members, specifically related to timeliness of care. Ouma Health is a clinician-led, maternity telehealth program that provides access to various services. Ouma also has the ability to provide virtual access to maternal-fetal medicine care for patients needing access to that specialty. Ouma can support/supplement the system of care of pregnant members. They do not replace or compete with local providers.

Molina wellness rewards for maternity health:
- $65. Prenatal visit if completed within 1-12 weeks gestation, or within 42 days of enrollment with Molina.
- $65. Maternal assessment with their Molina Case Manager. This must be completed before 32 weeks of pregnancy, please have the member call 866-891-2320.
- $65. Postpartum visit completed within 1 – 12 weeks of delivery date.

Please notify Molina Healthcare at least 30 days in advance when you:
- Change office location, hours, phone, fax, or email.
- Add or close a location.
- Add or terminate a provider.
- Change in Tax ID and/or NPI.
- Open or close your practice to new
patients (PCPs only).
