​Molina Healthcare of California Creates Special Closet for Long Beach Rescue Mission Clients

To ensure that clients of the Long Beach Rescue Mission(LBRM) have access to personal hygiene necessities, Molina Healthcare isunveiling the “Molina Closet,” a permanent resource closet providing freesupplies to men, women and children in need. The organization’s clients will beable to access full-sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes,toothpaste and other personal care products at no cost. The closet will supportthe LBRM’s Samaritan House, a 140-bed refuge for unsheltered men as well as theLydia House, a 50-bed shelter for women and children.

The event celebrating the launch of the closet will includea special ribbon cutting ceremony, remarks from Deborah Miller the president ofMolina Healthcare of California and a surprise donation from Molina presentedto the Long Beach Rescue Mission to support their work in the community.Additionally, Molina’s senior leadership team will be volunteering at the eventassembling the personal care kits that will fill the new closet.

Attendees and clients of the LBRM who attend will beprovided with a reusable Molina water bottle and refreshments.
