PONTIAC, Mich. March 10, 2021 — Molina Healthcare of Michigan (“Molina”) provided critical support to the city of Pontiac at a recent vaccination event that saw over 700 people receive their second dose of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Molina provided “Stay Safe Kits” to all those who received vaccinations. Each kit contained educational literature regarding COVID-19, a mask and hand sanitizer.

“This was a great day for the city of Pontiac,” stated Deirdre Waterman, mayor of Pontiac, who received her second vaccination at the event. “The support Molina provided was invaluable.”

Held at the Robert W. Bowens Senior Citizen Building on March 5, the event also included the support of the Oakland County Health Department, who administered the vaccinations, as well as the Oakland County Sheriff Department, who was onsite to assist.

“It’s like Christmas in March,” said one resident of Pontiac. “I am so thankful to receive my COVID-19 vaccine and for the nice surprise from Molina. Thank you for helping to keep our seniors safe!”

“Molina is proud to support the city of Pontiac in its efforts to keep residents safe,” said Heidi Mcglinnen, associate vice president of community engagement at Molina Healthcare of Michigan.
