Molina Medical Opens First College-Based Clinic to Serve Students in Need

Molina Medical recently celebrated the grand opening of its first-ever college-based clinic at El Camino College (ECC) Compton Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event included speeches by corporate guests including Molina Healthcare’s Chief Financial Officer, John Molina. Clinic tours, light refreshments and a meet and greet with clinic physicians and staff were also offered.
The new Molina Health Center is a significant addition to the campus as it is El Camino’s first on-campus student health center in the 60 year history of the college. For a nominal fee of $19, approximately 12,000 uninsured or underinsured students per semester can receive various health services at no extra cost, including physicals and cold and flu treatment.
