Molina Healthcare of Florida Partners with BeMe Health to Address Adolescent Mental Well-Being

MIAMI, Jan. 22, 2024 – Molina Healthcare of Florida (“Molina”) and BeMe Health (“BeMe”) have teamed up to support over 22,000 Molina Medicaid member teenagers through BeMe's behavioral health app. The app connects teens with customized mental health and well-being content, skill-building activities, and personalized one-on-one coaching. It also offers clinical services and crisis support.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (“NAMI”), 180,000 Floridians ages 12 to 17 have depression. NAMI data shows 64% of those adolescents did not receive any care in the last year.

In a recent assessment conducted in collaboration with Stanford University, 84% of users acknowledged BeMe's positive impact on self-esteem, with 90% finding the platform's content beneficial, and 84% expressing the effectiveness of BeMe's coaching. A subsequent pilot evaluation showed users reported a 20% reduction in moderate or severe anxiety and an 11% decrease in moderate or severe depression.
