Des Moines, Iowa, March 23, 2021The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”) donated $150,000 to nonprofits throughout urban and rural areas of Iowa to address issues associated with social determinants of health and reduce health disparities among Iowans. This includes advancing programs that address food security, housing, employment and legal aid as well as providing personal protective equipment (PPE) to intermediate care facilities serving the intellectually disabled as well as long-term care facilities.

“With so many Iowa families and individuals enduring such a difficult year, MolinaCares is honored to support local nonprofits as they reach out to those in need,” said Carolyn Ingram, executive vice president of external affairs at Molina Healthcare. “Through the MolinaCares Accord, Molina is able to provide supplies and resources that can make a real difference in the lives of so many Iowans in cities and towns across the state.”
