The MolinaCares Accord Now Accepting Applications for The MolinaCares Community Service Scholarship Program in Illinois

CHICAGO, April 4, 2023 — The MolinaCares Accord, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Illinois (“Molina”) is now accepting applications for the MolinaCares Community Service Scholarship Program, designed to award civic-minded students enrolled in a college, university, vocational school, or technical institution for service to their community.
“Molina is proud to kick off our third annual scholarship program and recognize students who demonstrate a commitment to improving their communities” said Matt Wolf, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Illinois. “We recognize a key barrier to individuals pursuing an education is often the financial burden. That’s why we want to support students who aspire to improve their community while achieving their educational goals.”
The MolinaCares Community Service Scholarship Program is open to students residing in Illinois who can demonstrate financial need. Students will be selected based on their creative responses to the questions “What does community mean to you,” “How has your community service made an impact on the community,” and “What have you learned and how has it impacted you?” Students may express their responses through a video or essay.
This marks the third year MolinaCares has presented this scholarship to local students in need. In 2022, 10 students were awarded $10,000 each.
Applications are being accepted until June 5, 2023, and winners will be recognized at a special ceremony on July 22, 2023. For more information about the MolinaCares Community Service Scholarship Program or to download the application, click here.
