To help feed the community this holiday season, Molina Healthcare of Washington teamed up with Port Angeles Food Bank, Ralph’s Thriftway and Sequim Food Bank to distribute a total of 650 bags of holiday groceries. Individuals and families received ham, turkey, bread, brown rice, milk, fresh vegetables, and pumpkin pie.
“Molina Healthcare is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with organizations who share our dedication to addressing the various social determinants of health such as hunger,” said Jorge Arturo Rivera, Associate Vice President of Membership Growth and Community Development at Molina Healthcare of Washington. “We are committed to working together to meet the needs of not only our members, but the communities in which they live, work, eat, and play.”
Through events with Blessings Under the Bridge, Bleu Door Bakery, and NAMI Southwest Washington, MHWA also provided holiday meals, personal hygiene items, hats, gloves, blankets, and sleeping bags to hundreds of individuals experiencing homelessness.
