The MolinaCares Accord Donates $5,000 to Sleep in Heavenly Peace

05/25/2021

MILWAUKEE, May 25, 2021The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin (“Molina”), is donating $5,000 to the DePere, Wisconsin Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace in support of their annual event, Bunks Across America.

The donation will fund the building of 25 beds to be distributed to children in Brown County. The beds will be built by volunteers on Saturday, June 12, at Amerilux International, 1212 Enterprise Dr., Building #2, in DePere.

Every bed delivered will include a new mattress, bedding and pillow.

The Bunks Across America event is a coordinated effort by local chapters of Sleep in Heavenly Peace across the country. It’s the largest event of its kind – bringing people together to build thousands of beds in a single day to reduce child bedlessness. Sleep in Heavenly Peace's 2021 goal is to build more than 7,500 beds with the help of nearly 15,000 volunteers.

“As the pandemic continues, numerous families have struggled to make ends meet,” said Steve Vermeulen, co-president of the DePere Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. “We are grateful to The MolinaCares Accord for this donation. It supports our work in helping give children the security of sleeping in their own bed at night.”
