What is Teladoc?
Teladoc provides medical care for adult Molina Healthcare members online or over the phone. It is a convenient way to receive medical care without leaving your home or wherever you are.

Who is eligible for Teladoc?
Molina Healthcare Medicaid members 19 and older are eligible, except children with special needs who become eligible at age 21. Call Molina Healthcare Member Services at 800-642-4168 (TTY: 711), 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday to learn more. The number is also on the back of your member ID card.

Who are Teladoc doctors?
Teladoc doctors are U.S. board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice. They average 20 years of experience and are licensed in your state. Their day-to-day practice involves providing quality medical care online and over the phone.

Do Teladoc doctors replace my doctor?
No. Teladoc is for when you need care now for non-emergency medical issues. It is a convenient option to replace urgent care and ER visits.

What ways are there to get Teladoc visits?
You can visit with a Teladoc doctor through your phone, on the internet using video through the secure member portal, or on the Teladoc mobile app using video.

How quickly can I talk to the doctor?
The average call-back time is just 10 minutes. If you miss the doctor's call, you will return to the bottom of the waiting list. Your request will be cancelled if you miss three calls.

Is there a time limit when talking with a doctor?
No. There is no time limit for Teladoc visits.

Can Teladoc doctors write a prescription?
Yes. Teladoc doctors can prescribe short-term medication for a wide range of conditions. Our doctors do not prescribe substances controlled by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), nontherapeutic, or certain other drugs which are considered harmful because of potential misuse.

How do I pay for a prescription called in by Teladoc?
When you go to your pharmacy to pick up the prescription, you may use your insurance card to pay for the medication.

Is the online visit no-cost no matter how long it takes?
Yes! As a Molina Healthcare member, your online visits cost you nothing. However, cell phone and internet usage rates from your service provider apply.

Can I provide Teladoc visit information to my regular doctor?
Yes. You have access to your electronic medical record at any time. You can download a copy online from your account or call Teladoc and ask them to mail or fax your medical record.
