Waiver Programs

We want you to stay well and live independently.

Molina Dual Options is dedicated to getting you the help and care you need. If you qualify, there are Waiver Programs available that provide additional services to help you live independently. The services are available to you in addition to medical and behavioral health benefits.

Eligibility

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services determines eligibility for the Waiver Programs.

Waiver Programs

The Waiver Programs offer home and community-based services (HCBS) to help you live in your own home or in a community setting. Your care coordinator will work with you, your family authorized representative to find the right types of service. He or she will also work to find the right amount of services and how long you will get those services. Not all services will be right for you. Once you agree to these services, your care coordinator will work with you to arrange them.

There are three Community Long Term Care (CLTC) waiver programs offered to eligible Molina Dual Options members:

  • The Community Choices Waiver can help individuals remain at home and avoid unnecessary or premature nursing home placement. The waiver is available for persons who are unable to perform activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and toileting due to illness or disability. Learn More.
  • The HIV/AIDS Waiver is for individuals that have been diagnosed with HIV or AIDS and are considered to be at risk for hospitalization. Learn More.
  • The Mechanical Ventilator Dependent Waiver is for persons who are dependent upon mechanical ventilation. Learn More.

Available Services to Non-Waiver Participants

You may still qualify for some Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) if you are not a waiver participant. You can receive these benefits through us if they are medically necessary. Your care coordinator will help you understand your options and your waiver program if you are on one. To find out more about any of these program services, please contact Member Services at (855) 735-5831, TTY/TDD: 711, 7 days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., local time.
